Callout Blocks

The Callout Block is designed to draw attention to important information within a notebook. It appears with a shaded background and an icon to help visually distinguish the content.


By default, the Callout Block displays an information icon.

Context Menu

Hover over the Callout Block to reveal the context menu (three-dot icon in the corner). Available options include:

  • Delete – Remove the block.

  • Duplicate – Create a copy of the block.

  • Turn Into – Convert the Callout into another block type (Text, Table, Accordion, Heading, Block Quote, Callout, Numbered List, Bulleted List, To-do List).

  • Copy Link to Block – Copy a direct link to this block.

Icon Styles

You can choose different icon styles for the Callout, with only one active at a time:

  • Information (ℹ️) – Default, gray background.

  • Info (!) – Blue icon, for highlighting helpful information.

  • Success (✔️) – Green check mark, for confirming positive results.

  • Warning (⚠️) – Orange triangle, for cautionary notes.

  • Error (❌) – Red “x”, for highlighting problems or critical issues.

These options function on a check/uncheck basis.
