Permission Template
The Permission Template feature allows users to assign permission templates when migrating documents from one server to another. This functionality eliminates the need to manually add permissions to each imported document individually.
The Permission Template page lists the available permission templates and provides an option to create new ones. Permission templates automatically apply permissions to documents when exporting them from Wyn Enterprise.
In this article, you will find detailed information on using Permission Templates.
Follow the instructions below to add and manage Permission Templates in Wyn Enterprise through the Admin Portal:
Navigate to System Management >> Permission Template.
Click + Add Permission Template.
Specify a name for the permission template and click Add.
The permission template will be added to the list on the left panel.
Select the template and click + Add Rule to add permission rules.
Specify the following rules,
Permission: Select permission to be assigned to the template from the Permission dropdown. The available options are Execute, Read, Write, and Full Control.
Organization Name: Specify the organization name in the input box or use the toggle switch to select an organization. To assign the selected permission to all organizations, use the * character in the input box.
Role Name: Specify the role name in the input box or use the toggle switch to select a role.
Note: If the specified organization and role names are unavailable in the target environment, the assigned permissions in the Permission Template will not take effect.
Click Save to finish.
Note:
When the Export Document Permissions setting is enabled on the Export settings page, the permissions defined in the Permission Template will be included with the exported document.
When importing documents that already exist on the server with a permission template, the permissions will be merged with the existing document permissions. This ensures that any new permissions defined in the template are integrated with the current permissions rather than replacing them.
