When designing a dashboard in Wyn Enterprise, you can filter individual data attributes directly within a scenario. This allows you to narrow down the dataset for a specific visual without applying global filters or slicers.
This article explains how to filter a data attribute from the Data Binding tab after it's been added to a scenario.
Open the Dashboard Designer
Create or open an existing dashboard.
Select the Scenario
Click on the chart, table, or other scenario you want to filter.
Go to the Data Binding Tab
Open the Data Binding tab in the right panel to view all data slots (e.g., Values, Rows, Columns).
Add a Data Attribute
Drag and drop a data attribute from the dataset into a slot such as Values, Rows, or Columns.
Click the Gear Icon
Once the attribute is in the slot, click the small gear icon that appears next to the attribute name.
Choose "Filter"
From the dropdown menu, select Filter. This opens the standard filter editor dialog.
Configure the Filter Conditions
In the filter dialog, define the conditions for filtering this attribute. For example, you can:
Include or exclude specific values
Filter by numeric ranges
Use expression-based rules
Click OK
Confirm your filter settings. The scenario will now display data only based on the filtered attribute.
