Hide a Group of Scenarios When Clicking Another Scenario

In Wyn Dashboards, you can create interactive scenario behaviors by grouping scenarios together and controlling their visibility through click actions. This allows you to hide an entire group of scenarios when the viewer clicks a specific scenario on the dashboard.

This article explains how to:

  • Group multiple scenarios together

  • Add a click action to another scenario

  • Configure a command that hides the grouped scenarios

Step 1: Group the Scenarios

  1. In the dashboard designer, select the scenarios you want to group:

    • Option A: Left-click, hold, and drag across the scenarios to select them all at once.

    • Option B: Select multiple scenarios individually by holding Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) while clicking each one.

  2. Right-click on any of the selected scenarios.

  3. From the context menu, choose Group.

Your selected scenarios are now grouped together and will appear as a single group in scenario-related dropdowns.

Step 2: Select the Scenario That Will Control Visibility

  1. Click the scenario that you want to serve as the trigger — the one that, when clicked, will hide the scenario group.

  2. With the scenario selected, go to the Inspector Panel.

  3. Scroll to the Interaction section.

Step 3: Add a Click Action to Hide the Group

  1. Under Click Action, open the dropdown and select Command.

  2. A new property named Command appears.

  3. Click + Add next to Command.

  4. In the Command Settings window, open the dropdown and choose Update Scenarios Visibility.

  5. Additional Action Settings will appear.

Step 4: Configure the Visibility Action

  1. Click the + button on the right side to add an action.

  2. In the Scenario dropdown, select the group you created earlier.

  3. In the Command dropdown, choose Hide.

  4. (Optional) Open the Animation dropdown to select an animation style for hiding the scenarios.

  5. Click OK to confirm.

Step 5: Preview the Dashboard

  1. Switch to Preview mode.

  2. Click any element of the scenario to which you added the click action.

  3. The grouped scenarios will fade or disappear (based on your animation setting), becoming invisible on the dashboard.
