Document Appearance

The Document Appearance properties control the overall visual styling of a dashboard. These settings apply at the dashboard level and include theme selection, page borders, title and content font styling, background color or image, and scrollbar appearance. Together, they help ensure visual consistency across all pages and scenarios.

Theme

The Theme property allows you to select a theme for your dashboard. All themes created in the resource portal are available here. A theme defines a preset color scheme that applies to fonts, background colors, scenario colors, and other visual elements.

Show Page Border

The Show Page Border property controls whether a border is displayed around the dashboard page. When enabled, an outer shadow is applied, giving the dashboard a subtle three-dimensional appearance.

Title Font Setting

You can customize the appearance of the dashboard title using the following font-related properties:

  • Font family

  • Font size

  • Font weight

  • Font style (italic or normal)

These settings ensure that titles remain readable and consistent across the dashboard.

Content Font Setting

You can customize the appearance of the dashboard content using the following font-related properties:

  • Font family

  • Font size

  • Font weight

  • Font style (italic or normal)

These settings ensure that all content text remains visually consistent throughout the dashboard.

Background Color

The dashboard background color is determined by the selected theme by default. You can override the theme’s background color by setting a custom value here. Note that unless the canvas size is set to a fixed size, the background color will not appear in the designer and will only be visible in the preview.

Background Image

You can add an image as the dashboard background. You can upload an image, add a network image, or select an image that already exists in your instance. Once a background image is set, additional dependent properties become available.

Repeat

The Repeat property controls how the background image is tiled. You can set it to Repeat, RepeatX, RepeatY, Space, or Round.

Image Size

The Image Size property controls how the image is scaled within the dashboard. You can set it to Contain, Cover, Stretched, or keep it at Original.

H-Align and V-Align

The H-Align and V-Align properties control the horizontal and vertical alignment of the background image. By default, alignment is set to Center and Middle, but you can change it to Left or Right for horizontal alignment, and Top or Bottom for vertical alignment.

Scrollbar Thumb and Scrollbar Track

You can customize the colors of the scrollbar thumb and scrollbar track. These settings apply when the dashboard content exceeds the available screen space and scrolling is required.
