The No Data Content properties control how the scenario appears when it has unbound data slots and is previewed. This allows you to provide users with meaningful feedback when a chart or visualization has no data to display. By customizing these properties, you can ensure that your dashboards remain informative and visually consistent even in scenarios with missing or unbound data.
You can modify the content and appearance of the scenario using the Inspector Panel.
The Content property allows you to specify the text displayed when there is no data. By default, the scenario displays "No data found," but you can customize this text to convey more relevant or user-friendly messages.
The Text Align property controls the horizontal alignment of the text. By default, the text is centered, but it can also be set to Left or Right alignment.
The Vertical Align property controls the vertical placement of the text within the scenario space. You can adjust it by entering a numerical value to move the text higher or lower within the chart area.
You can customize the appearance of the text using the following font-related properties:
Font family
Font size
Font weight
Font style (italic or normal)
These settings help maintain readability and ensure that the text is consistent with the overall dashboard design.
You can set a Background Image for the no data content. Once an image is applied, you can control its size using the Image Size property with options:
Contain
Cover
Stretch
This allows you to visually enhance empty states with branded images or illustrations.
For example, in a column chart with no data binding, the text has been centered and the vertical alignment set to 50. The font size is set to 2.5x (33px), the font color is teal, and the weight is bold. This ensures the message is clear and visually prominent even when the chart has no data.
