Charts

Wyn Enterprise supports a wide range of chart scenarios to help you visualize and analyze data from multiple perspectives. Whether you're comparing trends, highlighting distributions, or exploring relationships, Wyn's chart library offers the flexibility to build dynamic, interactive dashboards tailored to your unique business needs.

Charts are one of the most effective tools in data storytelling. They allow decision-makers to quickly interpret patterns, outliers, and insights that might be difficult to detect in tabular formats. Wyn provides more than just basic chart types—each chart is equipped with extensive customization, interactivity, and analytical features to help you deliver precise, impactful visualizations.

Chart scenarios in Wyn are pre-configured visualization components available in the Dashboard Designer. Each chart type serves a specific purpose—some are ideal for tracking changes over time, others for showing proportions, and some for exploring relationships between variables.

All charts in Wyn support:

  • Data-driven customization (formatting, labels, tooltips)

  • Interactive behaviors (filters, drilldowns, actions)

  • Rich styling (themes, animations, layout options)

  • Data analysis features (reference lines, trends, insights)

Overview of Chart Types

Below is a list of chart types available in Wyn, grouped by their common analytical use cases. These descriptions help you determine which chart best supports the insight you want to highlight.

Comparison & Trend Analysis

These charts help you compare categories, measure changes over time, and analyze trends or ranges.

Proportion, Composition & Distribution

Use these charts to understand how values relate to each other within a whole.

  • Pie Chart – Represents parts of a whole as slices.

  • Donut Chart – A variation of a pie chart with a center cut-out for improved readability.

  • Rose Chart – Displays categorical proportions using radial bars.

  • Sunburst Chart – Multi-level radial visualization for hierarchical part-to-whole relationships.

  • Treemap Chart – Nested rectangles showing hierarchical proportions in a compact layout.

Relationship & Correlation

These charts help analyze relationships between two or more variables.

  • Scatter Chart – Plots two numeric variables to reveal correlation patterns.

  • Bubble Chart – Extends the scatter chart by using bubble size to encode a third variable.

  • Radar Chart – Compares multiple variables across radial axes.

  • Filled Radar Chart – A radar chart with filled areas for emphasis and easier comparison.

Polar & Radial Visualizations

Use these for circular layouts, cyclical patterns, or alternative perspectives.

Hierarchical & Exploratory Analysis

Charts are designed for drilling down and examining complex structures.

  • Decomposition Tree – Breaks down metrics into contributing factors with interactive drill paths.

Specialized & Mixed Charts

These charts support unique use cases or combine multiple visuals for deeper analysis.

  • Candlestick Chart – Used primarily for financial data to represent open, high, low, and close values.

  • Card Chart – Displays a single value with optional trend indicators, ideal for KPIs.

  • Combined Chart – Merges multiple chart types (e.g., columns + lines) within one visualization.
