Radar EChart

Radar ECharts provides a powerful way to visualize multivariate data across multiple dimensions in a circular layout. With interactive and dynamic features, they help users explore complex datasets holistically and identify patterns, comparisons, and insights at a glance.

Create a Radar EChart

To add a Radar EChart to a dashboard:

Go to the Resource Portal or Document Portal.
Click + Create > Create Dashboard.
Choose a blank dashboard or a template.
From the Designer Toolbox, under Custom Visualization, drag Radar Chart (ECharts) onto the canvas.

Bind Data

Select the chart and choose a dataset from the Choose Data dropdown.
Drag fields into Values, Axis (Category), Legend (Series), and Tooltip containers.
Set a Drill Down mode (Default, Pre-set Targets, or Pre-set Path) to enable data exploration.

Format Data Attributes

Click the settings icon next to any data field to:

Apply Aggregations (Sum, Avg, Count, etc.)
Use Quick Functions (Ranking, Running Total, Moving Average, etc.)
Add Filters to focus on specific data.
Rename or Remove fields for clarity.
Customize Tooltips by editing content, format, and style.

Analyze Data

The Action Bar provides tools to explore and refine your data:

Filter: Narrow down data.
Sort: Arrange values logically.
Conditional Visualization: Highlight important trends or thresholds.
Data Binding: Modify fields or swap datasets.
Focus: View the chart in full screen.

Customize Appearance

Go to the Inspector Panel to fine-tune the chart. Key customization areas include:

Chart Style

Maintain Color Assignments: Set custom or palette-based colors.
Graph Opacity: Adjust transparency.
Line Thickness / Type: Change radar line weight or style (solid/dashed).
Symbol Shape / Size: Define data point markers.
Canvas Padding: Adjust layout spacing.
Custom ECharts Option: Use JavaScript for advanced styling.
Custom Behavior: Add interactive behaviors using JavaScript.

Animation

Set entrance animations (e.g., SlideInDown, BackInLeft), delay, and duration.

Data Visualization

Include All Dimensions: Show labels for null values.

Interaction

Cross Filter: Sync filters across visuals.
Jump To: Navigate to another report, dashboard, or URL.
Auto Refresh: Set to None, Polling (with interval), or Real-time.
Click Actions: Define what happens on click (e.g., Jump, Show Tooltip).
Pin Annotations or add Context Menu Actions like Keep/Exclude.

Data Labels

Show Data Labels: Display data point labels.
Display Pattern: Format labels with Category, Series, Value.
Location: Position labels inside or outside the chart.
Font Settings: Customize style and size.
Display Mode: Show all or auto-hide overlapping labels.

Axes & Grid

Show/Hide Axis Lines and Labels.
Customize Line Style (solid/dashed), color, and width.
Show Split Areas: Highlight alternating grid sections with custom colors.
