TreeMap ECharts visualize hierarchical data using nested rectangles. Each branch of the hierarchy is represented as a rectangle, with sub-branches nested inside. This chart type supports drill-downs for exploring data across unlimited levels.
In the Dashboard Designer, open the Custom Visualization panel.
Drag the TreeMap EChart onto the canvas.
In the Data Binding tab:
Click Add to choose your dataset.
Bind:
Values: quantitative data (e.g., Revenue)
Details: hierarchical categories (e.g., Retailer Country)
To display data labels:
Open the Inspector Panel via the gear icon.
Enable Show Data Label and Show Details under Data Labels.
Click Preview to see your TreeMap chart.
You can apply the following options in the Data Field containers:
Aggregation Method: Summarize values using Sum, Average, Min, Max, Count, or Distinct Count.
Quick Functions: Apply dynamic calculations like Ranking, Percentiles, or Running Totals.
Filter: Display relevant data by applying conditions.
Rename: Rename fields for clarity.
Remove: Remove unwanted fields.
Tooltip Settings: Customize tooltips with new fields, styles, or expressions.
Use the Action Bar for additional analysis:
Filter: Focus on specific data.
Sort: Organize values for clearer insights.
Conditional Visualization: Highlight, compare, or rank data visually.
Data Binding: Modify or update bound fields.
Reference Line: Add static markers for comparison.
Use the Inspector Panel to modify chart properties:
Maintain Color Assignments: Use theme colors or custom ones.
Palette / Opacity / Auto Gradient: Customize visuals.
Canvas Padding / Item Space: Adjust spacing.
Custom Options: Add JavaScript for behavior or visual tweaks.
Entrance Animation: Control chart entrance effects.
Automatic Carousel: Highlight sections one at a time.
Scenario Name / Jump To / Cross Filter / Auto Refresh
Click Action / Single Selection / Visible Menu Items
Pin Annotation / Context Menu Actions
Set Title, alignment, and styling.
Customize Tooltip Mode (e.g., show value on hover).
Customize Home Button name, position, and font.
Set colors for current and previous drill levels.
Replace Null or Blank values with placeholders.
Set fallback Content, alignment, font, and background.
Configure Position, Size, Background, Margins, Borders, and Shadows.
