Word Cloud EChart

Word Cloud ECharts are interactive visualizations that highlight the most frequently occurring words in a dataset. Larger font sizes represent higher frequency, while color and layout add visual clarity and categorization. This chart type is ideal for exploring text data at a glance.

Create a Word Cloud EChart

Go to the Resource or Document Portal.
Click + Create → Create Dashboard.
Choose Blank Dashboard or a template and click Create.
In the Designer Toolbox, under Custom Visualization, drag WordCloud Chart (ECharts) onto the canvas.

Bind Dataset to Chart

With the chart selected, choose a dataset from the Choose Data dropdown.
Drag fields into:
- Values: Numeric values that determine word size.
- Legend (Series): Optional categories for coloring.
- Tooltip: Fields to show on hover.
Select a Drill Down Mode (Default, Pre-set Targets, or Pre-set Path) if needed. See Drill-Down for details.

Format Data Attributes

Click the gear icon next to any field to apply:

Aggregation: Sum, Average, Count, etc.
Quick Functions: Apply date-based or ranking calculations.
Filter: Limit data to relevant items.
Rename: Change field names for clarity.
Remove: Delete a field from the chart.
Tooltip Settings: Customize the style and content of tooltips.

Analyze Data

Use the Action Bar above the chart to perform:

Filter: Focus on specific data subsets.
Conditional Visualization: Highlight or compare data dynamically.
Data Binding: Modify bound data attributes.
Focus: Expand the chart to fullscreen view.

Customize Appearance

Chart Style

Maintain Color Assignments	Toggle custom or default color palette.

Graph Opacity	Set chart transparency (0%–100%).
Shape	Choose layout: Circle, Diamond, Triangle, etc.

Font Size Range	Set min/max font size when auto-sizing is off.

Custom Behavior	Add real-time interactivity with JavaScript.

Animation

Entrance Animation: Choose entry style (e.g., SlideInDown, BackInLeft).
Delay / Duration: Control animation timing.

Data Visualization

Include All Dimensions: Show labels with null values.

Interaction

Cross Filter	Apply selection filters across the dashboard.
Jump To	Link to another dashboard, report, or URL.
Auto Refresh	Set to None, Polling (with interval), or Real-Time.
Visible Menu Items	Choose which options appear in the chart menu.
Pin Annotation	Keep annotations visible on the chart.
Context Menu Actions	Enable right-click options (Keep, Exclude, etc.).
Click Action	Define behavior on word click (e.g., Show Tooltip, Jump).
Single Selection	Allow only one selection at a time (default: False).
