The Remove
button is one of the data exploration buttons that appears when a scenario is selected in the dashboard designer. Represented by a trashcan icon, this option allows you to quickly remove a selected scenario from the dashboard canvas.
When clicked, the Remove button immediately removes the selected scenario from the dashboard. This action is performed without any confirmation prompt, making it a quick and efficient way to declutter or revise dashboard content.
Instant deletion: The scenario is removed as soon as you click the trashcan icon—no confirmation dialog appears.
Undo supported: If the deletion was accidental, you can undo it using standard keyboard shortcuts:
Windows: Ctrl + Z
Mac: Cmd + Z
This allows for quick recovery without interrupting your workflow.
Removing unused or duplicate scenarios.
Quickly testing layout changes without navigating away from the canvas.
Managing dashboard space during design and prototyping.
While the ability to undo offers flexibility, it’s still good practice to ensure you’ve selected the correct scenario before clicking the Remove button, especially in complex dashboards with multiple overlapping visuals.
