Sort

Sorting helps you analyze dashboard data more effectively by arranging values in a meaningful order. For example, you might sort products by revenue to quickly identify top performers.

You can apply sorting to dimension fields in a scenario using the Sort dialog. Sorting can be based on alphabetical order, measure values, data attributes, or a custom manual order.

Note: Some scenarios do not support sorting, including KPI Chart, Indicator, Gauge, Data Table, Rich Text, and Image.

Applying a Sort

  1. Select the scenario you want to sort. The Action Bar appears on the right side of the scenario.

  2. Click the Sort icon Screenshot 2025-07-03 at 2.31.18 PM from the Action Bar.

  3. In the Sort dialog, click Add Sort to define sorting conditions.

  4. Set the Target Field to the dimension you want to sort (e.g., Products).

  5. Choose a sort method from the available options (described below).

  6. Click Apply, then OK to view the result.

Sort Methods

1. Items

Sorts dimension values alphabetically.

  • Sort Order: Ascending or Descending.

2. Value

3. Field

Sorts dimension values based on a data attribute.

Only target field values are shown.
