Expand

The Expand button is one of the data exploration tools in Wyn Dashboards that allows you to temporarily enlarge a scenario based on the amount of data it contains. This is especially helpful when a scenario includes more data than can comfortably fit in its current view.

How It Works

When you click Expand, the selected dashboard scenario dynamically resizes to show all of its data without clipping or scrollbars. The scenario grows vertically or horizontally—depending on its layout and chart type—to ensure every data point is visible.

For example:

• A bar chart with many categories will grow vertically to accommodate all bars.

• A column chart may grow horizontally to show each column side-by-side without overlap.

Toggling the View

Click the Expand button again to collapse the scenario back to its original size. This makes it easy to switch between a detailed view and the standard dashboard layout without losing your place or context.

When to Use

Use the Expand button when:

• Labels or data points are getting cut off in the default view.

• You want to inspect a larger data set in a single, unobstructed view.

• You’re working with a scenario that loads varying amounts of data depending on filters or drill-downs.

This tool helps maximize readability and usability, especially in dashboards that adjust dynamically or contain deeply layered data.
