The Insight
button is part of Wyn’s data exploration capabilities. It uses automated pattern recognition to analyze your scenario’s data and uncover meaningful trends, anomalies, and relationships—without requiring any manual setup. When clicked, Wyn evaluates your data against seven built-in insight patterns and displays the most relevant findings.
When you click Insight in the Action Bar, Wyn scans your data using all seven supported insight patterns. Only those that match your data are shown—so not all insights will be available for every scenario. If no patterns apply, Wyn will display a message indicating that no insights were found.
In general, scenarios with more data bindings and richer datasets are more likely to generate useful insights.
Pattern | Description |
|---|---|
Trend | Identifies categories that are significantly below average in a given measure. |
Time Series Outlier | Detects anomalies over time by comparing values against a baseline. |
Low Variance | Highlights categories with minimal variation in their values, often signaling consistent behavior. |
Correlation | Finds strong positive or negative relationships between two measures. |
Category Outlier | Shows which categories significantly differ from others in a particular measure. |
Majority | Reveals the dominant category that contributes the most to a total. |
Change Point | Marks where a sudden or dramatic shift occurs in the data trend. |
Each matched pattern is presented as a text insight, sometimes with supporting visual indicators, depending on the chart type.
The Insight feature is available in a wide range of dashboard scenarios, including:
Standard Charts:
Area, Column, Bar, Line, Scatter, Bubble, Pie, Donut, Radar, Rose, Funnel, Candlestick, and Word Cloud
Stacked & Range Variants:

Select any supported dashboard scenario.
From the Action Bar, click the Insight button.
If insights are available, they will appear in a dedicated panel beside the scenario.
If no insights are found, a message will indicate that none of the patterns matched your data.
Use Insight as a starting point for deeper exploration. If a trend or outlier is highlighted, you can then apply filters, drill downs, or change the chart type to further investigate.
